Christina Aguilera meets James Bond
Aint No Other Bond (160kbs)

Another quick mash for you all. The new Bond is coming and I think they missed a trick not getting Ms Aguilera to do the theme song. So here's my version, vocals from "Aint No Other Man" (of course) and the music suplied by the maestro himself Mr John Barry, with one of the best Bond themes ever "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". There's a little bit of the twangy guitar James Bond theme chucked in there too for good measure. Extra drumbly things by me. Let me know what you think. BBJ

MARTHA & THE VANDELLAS vs GROOVE ARMADA
I See You Runnin' Nowhere(160kbs)

Ha ha..the boy returns, but in a small but perfectly formed way I hope. Here's a short (2'30'') section from what will be my magnum opus. A 45 minute mash-up which is currently using up all my waking hours (I dunno how these dj guys do it so effortlessly, it's taking me bleedin' ages). What you get here is Martha Reeves singing ''Nowhere to Run'' over Groove Armada's ''I See You Baby'' the Fatboy Slim remix version. Can't believe nobody's done this before it works a treat. Hopefully this will whet your appetite and tickle your tastebuds for my big mash. Which is coming soon, so enjoy. Oh and dont forget to scroll down for all my earlier mashes.

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM meets SLY & THE FAMILY STONE
Dance to the Disco Infiltrator (160kbs)

Another day (month) another mash...or is it? This is a bit different I think, maybe it's more of a mix-up as opposed to a mash-up. Anyway who cares cos it's a bit of fun innit. What you get here is LCD Soundsystem's "Disco Infiltrator" mixed with a couple of Sly & the Family Stone tracks."Dance to the Music" and "Soul Clappin" which I think is an outtake from the "Dance to the Music" album sessions. I like to think that this is what LCDSS would sound like if Sly's musicians guested with them on stage or something. Big warning alert. Don't play this in mono or else most of Sly will disappear....oh shit. I think it's some phase cancellation thingy which came in when I extracted the instrumental. Never mind tho' I think it rocks so let me know if you do. Love BBJ (p.s. don't forget to scroll down and check out my previous stuff).

AMERIE vs ROXY MUSIC
Pyjama Thing (160kbs)

Hey, hey it's another Roxy Music mash up. I am a really big fan of their early stuff and it's great when you get the opportunity to use some of their wierd and wonderful early tracks. So here we go with Roxy's second (and often unjustly overlooked) single "Pyjamarama" supplying the music, and Amerie's "One Thing" doin' the vocal action. Once again extra bits from me and it's turned out...well...sort of psychedelic in a dancey sort of way, anyway let me know what y'all think. (p.s. don't forget to check out my other stuff. Just use the bar on the right to scroll down for more tracks) Love BBJ

M.I.A. vs CAN
U.R.A.Can (160kbs)

I've always wanted to something with Can and at last I've finally done one. This track features Can's stab at a commercial record (as if...) it's a cracking track and M.I.A sits nicely on top of it (I think so anyway). So here we are M.I.A.'s "U.R.A.Q.T." mashed with Can's "I Want More" with a bit of extra synth and drums from me. It's not an epic but I like 'em short and sweet. Comments welcome as always.

CIARA vs The DOORS
Peace Frog Step (160kbs)

Yo Ho and here we go. My latest offering features the Queen of crunk (are there any others?) mashed with the the Lizard King (well his band anyway). The pella's Ciara's "1 2 Step" and the music is supplied by the Doors. It's "Peace Frog" a well funky track from their album Morrison Hotel, the two fit together a treat I think. Enjoy

GANG OF 4 (feat Patti Smith)
Naturals Not In It (the punki, funki, breaki mix) 160kbs

I wasn’t sure whether to put this up as I’m not sure if I’m totally happy with it.When I tried to do some more work on it, the computer went tits up, corrupted file methinks, end of story. Anyway the more I listened to it the more I liked it so I thought bugger it, lets put it up anyway and see if anyone else likes it. So here it is.........‘Natural’s Not in It’ is a track from the Gang of 4’s debut album. A cracking track which I chopped up, added some extra beats and synth and a few vocal samples from Patti Smith’s poem ‘Babelogue. Everything but the kitchen sink in fact.Hope y’all like it, mail me with your comments, they’re always welcome.

PINK vs. ROXY MUSIC
Editions of Pink (160kbs)

I know this is an old Pink song but hey, it really goes with the Roxy track.“Get the Party Started” mixed with “Editions of You” a brilliant track from Roxy Music’s equally brilliant 2nd album. I’ve added some extra drums and synths to give it some added electro zip. Hope you like it.

LUMIDEE vs. MY BLOODY VALENTINE
GONNA LEAVE YOU SOON
GONNA LEAVE YOU SOON (intrumental)

I quite enjoyed doing this one, it kinda rocks. A mash of Lumidee’s “Never Gonna Leave You” and “Soon” by My Bloody Valentine, one of my all time fave tracks. I’ve added a bit of breakbeat action and the rap is from Fabolous, taken from the Lumidee remix. Hope you like it, don’t forget to let me know.

MISSY ELLIOT vs. XTC
GET UR FREAK IN MOTION (192kbs)

TWEET vs. THE HUMAN LEAGUE

THUG TIMES

Well here we are with something I knocked up over the last couple of days.

My how we bootleggers (I like to think of myself belonging to that illustrious fraternity) must rub our little hands in glee over our copies of the League Unlimited Orchestra’s album, every track’s a winner.

Anyway this is Tweet’s “Thugman” (feat Missy Elliot) sung over the League’s “Hard Times”.

Hope you like it.

BEYONCE vs. BLANCMANGE

NAUGHTY GIRL ON THE CEILING (160kbs)

Hey, the 80’s…they were shit weren’t they. However the odd decent track crept through, check Blancmange’s “Living on the Ceiling” the 12” mix of course.

Wicked eastern type rhythm and melody and hey…it goes a peach with Beyonce’s “Naughty Girl”. Just for the sheer hell of it I’ve added some extra drums and synth.

So is it a mash-up, a remix, a re-mash or a mish-mash.

Enjoy (I hope).

MISSY ELLIOT vs. XTC

GET UR FREAK IN MOTION (offline)

Ok..ok..I know the acapella’s been used a gazillion times before and that Missy’s been mashed to death but give me a break. This was the first mash up I ever completed, it’s got sentimental value y’now.

Anway, it’s “Get Ur Freak On” spliced with of XTC’s “Radios in Motion” and some more extra drums and synths.
